How can I help you?

Infant and Toddler Development

As a mom, grandmom, and pediatric occupational therapist for 25+ years, I take play seriously! I strive to make therapy fun. We’ll work together to develop an evidence-based plan of care for your little one (newborn to 3). I am located in beautiful Frenchtown, New Jersey right next to the Delaware on the border of Pennsylvania and I am licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Credentialing: OTR/L (Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapist), Certified Infant Massage Instructor, C/NDT (Certified Neuro-Developmental Treatment), and TummyTime! Method™ Provider. My relevant training includes BabyMyo as developed by Michelle Emanuel.

Tongue Tie and Oral Restrictions

Together, we’ll work to optimize the timing of your tongue tie release, if  a release is needed. I’ll provide bodywork and oral motor therapy that will help increase tongue strength, range of motion, and  endurance — providing whole-body neurodevelopment therapy.

If a release is needed, this will help increase your baby’s functional skills such as feeding and help regulate their nervous system. We’ll work to balance tension throughout your baby’s body for optimal development both before and after release.

Torticollis
and Plagiocephaly

Torticollis is a head-turning preference often associated with tethered oral tissues or TOTS which is caused by lack of movement during gestation. I use gentle methods including TummyTime! Method™ and TMR to assist in balancing asymmetries.

Plagiocepaly is an asymmetrical head shape which results from prolonged periods of time where the baby’s head is in one position. This can occur both in utero and/or once the baby is born. I can help using gentle repositioning and handling techniques and teach you how to integrate them into your daily routine. We can also use SoftSpot™ ,a non-invasive yet highly accurate (99.01%) technology to detect and monitor plagiocephaly.

Testimonials

I found Sue when my son was 5 weeks old and I knew we needed significant help. Immediately Sue’s warmth and gentleness put both my husband and me at ease; we quickly realized that we had someone really special in our corner. Sue is not only very knowledgeable, but she also goes above and beyond for her patients and their families. I was a postpartum mom navigating a new special needs world. Not only did Sue support my son, she supported me. Sue handled every concern, fear and struggle that I expressed with such gentleness and compassion. I always felt safe in her space. I truly believe that it was because of Sue and the work we did in her studio as well as the guidance she gave me for practicing at home, that helped my son not only catch up to his peers but also surpass certain milestones for his age. Sue is an extremely skilled OT and pivoted therapy throughout our extended time with her based on my son’s immediate needs. Sue tracked his milestones and progress, and always made sure I was fully involved, creating a plan together for the coming weeks. I can’t recommend Sue enough. If you have a child in need of Occupational Therapy, they will be so well cared for in Sue’s capable hands.

Mom
Sue is incredible! As a new mom, finding out your son needs occupational therapy after a tongue and lip tie procedure, I felt overwhelmed. Sue was nothing but kind, intelligent and helpful with every step of the way. My son’s recovery journey was made so much easier with Sue’s assessments, consistent follow ups and different techniques for a holistic, whole body approach. We cannot thank her enough for helping my son with his development and recovery. She is amazing with kids and parents. Please don’t hesitate to book her for your child’s needs!
